AAHMS Fellow elected to the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering

AAHMS Fellow, Distinguished Professor Dietmar Hutmacher, is among the 27 innovators to be elected as a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering (ATSE) for 2022.

ATSE Fellows are leaders in applied science, technology and engineering, elected by their peers in recognition of exceptional professional contributions to Australian STEM innovation.

Distinguished Professor Hutmacher has changed the way young children and babies are treated for skull injuries and congenital deformities with his revolutionary approach to 3D printed scaffold-guided tissue regeneration.

He is Professor and Chair of Regenerative Medicine, Institute of Health and Biomedical Innovation, Queensland University of Technology.

We warmly congratulate Professor Hutmacher on his achievement.
